Route 17 Ridgewood Park & Ride Seeing Some Major Improvements

Ridgewood NJ, according to the Village Manager Keith Kazmark with the help of the NJ Department of Transportation the Route 17 Ridgewood Park & Ride has recently seen some major improvements. Parking lots have been resurfaced and new signage has been added. The structure on the property will soon be removed and a buffer zone will be created along neighboring property lines with new tree plantings this spring.

Village of Ridgewood Leaf Collection is a Wrap

Ridgewood NJ, a reminder from the Village Manager Keith Kazmark, fall Leaf Collection Season in Ridgewood is now complete. While never a perfect science, our streets crews worked every day (including weekends) to get the job done. Any additional leaves may be bagged and brought to the recycling center. Please do not push additional leaves curbside as they will not be picked up and will inhibit snow removal operations. The Village of Ridgewood is currently in enforcement mode.

Ridgewood NJ, the Village Manager Keith Kazmark thanked Village personnel who worked diligently on Friday to ensure limited loss due to the storm and flooding. “Our vehicle fleet was relocated, the recycling yard was secured and our Police Department, Fire Department and OEM worked to block flooded roadways and provide support to residents.”

More Trees For Ridgewood’s Central Business District

Ridgewood NJ, according to Village Manager Keith Kazmark , Phase 3 of the street revitalization Project will begin this Fall . The Village of Ridgewood will be relacing trees in the wells along Oak, Chestnut ,Walnut streets and Franklin Avenue in the Central Business District . The trees were chosen specifically to thrive in Ridgewood’s downtown , provide more shade in the summer , better air quality and create a more beautiful downtown.

Ridgewood Fire Department Takes Delivery on a New Ambulance

Ridgewood NJ, according to the Village Manager Keith Kazmark , the Ridgewood Fire Department recently took delivery of our new ambulance, a 2022 Osage. Although providing medical services to the Village since 1987, the Ridgewood Fire Department has been continually increasing its involvement in responding to the Village’s 9-1-1 ambulance calls in recent years. This is the first ambulance purchased by the Ridgewood Fire Department. This brings the total number of ambulances serving the Village remains at three: Ambulance 10, Ambulance 12 and now Ambulance 46.

Woodland Park Mayor Keith Kazmark resigned to become the new village manager of Ridgewood. Kazmark previously served as Elmwood Park clerk and administrator and as the administrator in Parsippany.  In addition to his former mayoral duties, Kazmark also served as the administrator in Woodland Park.

Village Manager Joins Monday’s Ridgewood Central Business District Clean Up

Ridgewood NJ, on Monday a group of volunteers, led by members of the Ridgewood Shade Tree Commission, hit the streets of Ridgewood ‘s Central Business District  to weed and clean up litter downtown. The group of volunteers was joined by the Village Manager Keith Kazmark. Ridgewood High School students ; Alex, Travis, Jack and Henry were a huge help, along with all who lent a helping hand.
