Washington DC, Congress’s own Joint Committee on Taxation, the official scorekeeper on tax policy changes finds that two out of every three taxpayers with incomes over $1 million and nearly nine of 10 with incomes between $500K – $1 million get a net tax CUT from the Build Back Broker bill. This is because Congress vastly expands the state and local tax deduction – a huge tax break for the top 1% in blue states.

Trenton NJ, on Nov. 4, 2020, Governor Phil Murphy signed into law P.L. 2020, c.117, which prohibits the provision or sale of single-use plastic carryout bags and polystyrene foam foodservice products in all stores and food-service businesses statewide. The law also prohibits the provision or sale of single-use paper carryout bags by grocery stores that occupy 2,500 square feet or more. The law required the creation of a vendor clearinghouse to aid businesses in identifying vendors and manufacturers who sell reusable carryout bags allowed by the new law.

Ridgewood NJ, one way to measure inflation is the difference between nominal and real GDP. Using that metric, inflation has been rising at an alarming pace, accounting for more and more of nominal GDP. Three quarters of the apparent gains from July through September were just inflation, not real growth, which is why the real GDP figure came in at only 2.0%.

More recently the Ridgewood blog mischaracterized a resident’s sarcastic comments at a Village Council meeting , equating pickleball complaints by neighbors being akin to Central Business District neighbors complaining about train whistles .

Ridgewood NJ, in the early morning hours of Monday November 1, 2021 Ridgewood Police were dispatched to a Howard Road residence for a report of a vehicle theft in progress. Patrol converged on the area and Sgt. Kyle Finch located the vehicle near the Ho-Ho-Kus Border. The vehicle began to flee and a short pursuit ensued, which was terminated a brief time later for the safety of officers, criminals and other people driving on the roadway at the time. Other area departments aided during the incident, and a juvenile actor, believed to be involved, was located (on foot) by a Waldwick Police Unit. The stolen vehicle was located and recovered by Ridgewood Police Detectives in Newark, NJ. The matter is under investigation by the Ridgewood Police Detective Bureau.

Ridgewood NJ , according to the Ridgewood Police ,the Department has found that a vast majority of the stolen vehicles in our community have been stolen because the keys (or key fob) were left inside the vehicle at the time of the theft, and the vehicles have been left unlocked. The Ridgewood Police Department strongly encourages our community to lock your vehicles at night, to never leave your keys (or key fob) in an unattended vehicle, and to avoid leaving valuables in your vehicle at night.

The previous operator had relocated his repair business to Oak Street. “Gas only” or “gas & repairs” was not clarified by the attendant on duty when we stopped by.
